Cross Cultural Training

The program on Day One is Cross Cultural Training and is based on academic cultural frameworks of Individualist and Collective Cultural frameworks and humanness behaviours. This is supported by anecdotal evidence and experiences and is an interactive course.  This Course has information and learnings on all cultures from around the world and the culture in live we live our daily lives. The learnings can be implemented in the workplace in a practical manner on day one upon completion of the course.

The units delivered are:

Introduction to cross cultural training

Individualist and Collective Cultural frameworks and humanness behaviour

Communication rules in cross cultural settings

Establishing rapport and understanding where authority comes from

Managing expectation and request

Understanding historical worldviews and current events.

Cultural Awareness

This workshop is designed to share culturally specific examples to generate practical realisations of how cross-cultural training and cultural awareness might work in this context (South-East Queensland regions). The course is participatory and tailored to the group’s needs. It may include workshops in specific locations with an On-Country experience or yarn to deepen knowledge and reflection.

Reflective Workshop: Eliciting cultural perceptions of Australian Aboriginal Cultures and Histories

Local Histories and lived experience

Cultural Values: Knowing, being and doing

Relationships, Relationality and Relating

Language and ways of speaking

Navigating protocols within Aboriginal Organisations and Groups

Applying cross-cultural concepts

What is ‘co-design’? New ways to think about it.

Organisational Support

Organisations come in all shapes and sizes. Our work can include large organisations undergoing change-management and audit processes, or small business ready to scale their operations. We are able to walk alongside mainstream organisations who hope to achieve their cultural strategies and cultural organisations developing their frameworks to operate in the business world.
